September Newsletter
August 31, 2011I hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of the school year! We are tracking along well here, getting into a routine, and having lots of fun! Malia just turned 6 months old and Logan just turned 4 months old. I can’t believe how fast the babies are growing!
Hayden amazes me everyday with his new words and wonderful since of humor and Lexi is always a joy with her stories and questions. Gabe is going back home to his parents in Virginia. We are keeping our fingers crossed that they decide to move here so he can come play again! We miss you already Gabe! Emily and Cody are liking their teachers and classes so far and Cody is showing no mercy on the football field.
I have two openings right now for kids 18 months old or older or one opening for a child 12-17 months. Tell your friends that need childcare! We are looking forward to meeting new friends!
As we move into the school year we will begin a theme based curriculum. See below for more information on September’s theme. We may have fewer papers, but rest assured we are learning everyday!
Our theme for September is “My Amazing Body”. We will explore our five senses, sing songs like “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes” and discuss how to take care of our body such as brushing our teeth, taking baths, and eating healthy. I encourage you to talk to your kiddos about these things at home this month too.
We will concentrate on the letters P, A, and C, the numbers 1 and 2, the colors pink and brown, and the shape for this month is the circle.
